Set in the underground world of 1920s Northern California speakeasies, the Speakeasy Series follows Rose and Dax—two women forced apart by a society that refuses to accept them.
Years later, when their paths cross again, the past isn’t the only thing waiting.
In Foster House, loyalty is currency — and every secret comes with a price.
In a world fueled by bootlegging, ambition, and shifting loyalties, every choice carries risk—and every relationship comes with a cost.

The Characters
Darlene Augusta "Dax" Xander → A skilled carpenter, protective friend, and unapologetically butch woman who refuses to conform to society's expectations. Fiercely loyal to the people she loves.
Rose Hamilton → A talented singer with a beautiful voice and a prominent stutter. Shy and cautious, she often hides parts of herself to survive in a society hostile to queer women.
